The Gospel Life Series

Six treatises in which Jeremiah Burroughs examines the believer's life as it flows from the gospel: the proper ordering of worship, the shape of a conversation worthy of the gospel, the trembling reverence due to a holy God, and the nature of the three great gospel mercies: reconciliation, remission of sins, and the revelation of God in Christ. Published posthumously between 1648 and 1674, the series stands as the most sustained Puritan anatomy of the interior life shaped by grace.

    Gospel Worship

    Jeremiah Burroughs· 9 hrs read

Burroughs opens the right manner of worshiping God from the judgment on Aaron's sons in Leviticus 10:3, working through fourteen sermons on what it means to sanctify God's name. He moves from general principles of drawing near to God, through hearing the Word, receiving the Lord's Supper, and prayer, treating each as an act of approach to a holy God that demands a holy frame. Published posthumously in 1648, it became one of the most widely used Puritan treatments of worship and the nature of the ordinances.

    Gospel Conversation

    Jeremiah Burroughs· 9 hrs read

    Gospel Revelation

    Jeremiah Burroughs· 11 hrs read
