The Sovereignty of God
A.W. Pink (1886-1952)
Pink wrote this as a sustained biblical case that God's will is sovereign and unconditional in every domain: creation, providence, salvation, and the destiny of individuals. The book moves chapter by chapter through each sphere of divine sovereignty, addresses the human will, answers major objections, and closes with appendices on contested passages including the meaning of "world" in John and the scope of 1 John 2:2. Published in 1918 and expanded through four editions, it became the most widely read modern exposition of Reformed soteriology, recovering doctrines of election and particular redemption for readers who had lost contact with the Calvinist tradition.
