Wycliffe's Wyckett
John Wycliffe (c. 1320-1384)
A brief but pointed argument from Scripture against the doctrine of transubstantiation, showing from Christ's own words that the bread of the Eucharist is not transformed into his physical body. Written in the last years of Wycliffe's life, it became one of the most widely circulated of his English writings, reprinted throughout the sixteenth century by English Reformers who found in it a concise scriptural case against the Roman Mass.
