It is identified with Sheriah a large ruin in the south country, northwest of Beersheba.International Standard Bible Encyclopediasha-roo'-hen (sharuchen; hoi agroi auton): One of the cities in the territory of Judah assigned to Simeon (Jos 19:6). In Jos 15:32 it is called "Shilhim," and in 1Ch 4:31, "Shaaraim" (which see).
